Global Celebration of Service

While many exciting events and activities will take place this year to commemorate PMI’s 50th Anniversary, the Global Celebration of Service is truly the cornerstone of the festivities, embodying the spirit of giving back that PMI has always been about.

Our goal is to engage PMI chapters, members, volunteers and credential holders to get involved in service projects that support the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals — a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. PMI volunteers and staff on hand at LIVPM were the very first to participate in this initiative, contributing 345 hours toward our ultimate goal of 50,000 hours pledged by the end of 2019.

In recognition of our 20th anniversary celebration, the Lakeshore Ontario Chapter has selected a variety of social good initiatives that everyone can be involved in.

Initiatives

Bruce Trail Rehabilitation

The objective here is to engage Chapter members and their families as part of an annual cleanup campaign along the Bruce Trail - Fisher’s Pond Nature Reserve. Bruce Trail conservancy aims at "Preserving a ribbon of wilderness, for everyone, forever."

Operation Smile Canada

As part of the 20th Anniversary celebration the PMI Lakeshore Ontario Chapter has pledged to support Operation Smile Canada and children around the world affected by cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities. Funds raised will allow Operation Smile Canada and their network of medical volunteers to provide free life-changing surgeries and transform lives.

Join us giving more hope and smiles for children.

Telecheck Seniors Program

As part of PMILOC PD-Day, we've partnered with Distress Centres of Greater Toronto to raise awareness and funds for the Telecheck Seniors Program (55+) in the City of Brampton.

Join us in supporting this worthy cause.

Supporting Families in Crisis

We have partnered with Halton Women’s Place. This Institution serves abused women and their dependent children providing shelter, information, and education to support a future without abuse for women and their children.
